Pacific Life Program Reviews

Pacific Life Program Yelp Reviews

The hardest decision that I ever made was sending my son to PLP.  It was the best decision that I made.  The people at PLP really care about these kids.  I sent him there in Oct. of 2017 and he graduated Sept. of 2018.  Today he is drug free and on a track that I never thought that I would see.  He communicates with me like he never has before.  He went from a failing student to almost a straight A student.  No he isn't perfect, we are both a work in progress.  But they have taught us how to do that.  But as a parent, we have to learn how to parent better as well.  It is a whole family change and learning experience.

PLP is not a luxury resort.  But the program is a good one.  The therapist that we worked with, and still do, doesn't miss a thing.  She is so good at what she does.  My son misses the people who work there and is wanting to go back down for a visit.

Forever grateful, pacific life program is a really special place for troubled teens. Everyone at the school was really caring and helpful. The therapist, doctors, and other staff members were very kind and friendly. They have helped my adoptive son get through his PTSD issues. I am really grateful.

I know PLP well. I have a troubled teenager . Me and the mother of my daughter were trying to find a help to put our rebel teenager to order for her own good.  But regular psychiatrists and therapists were useless.  Peels, weed, alcohol , stealing , skipping school , police , etc ...
This school became a real solution for us.  They have  strictly enforce rules , dedicated therapists for group and individual family therapy. Good  system to encourage teens to behave and to have good school grades.
And for very reasonable price . The staff is experienced and professional.
During my visitations I met other parents and they told me their stories.
Stories , which all are very similar to mine. The grown men and women almost cried because of the helplessness and inability to control troubled teens. . PLP is a solution. I watched transformation for my daughter. She became more tolerant , more understanding , has good school grades.
Of course , nothing is guaranteed .  And you can see the repeats of  pattern for the bad behavior again. Keeping the strict rules after finishing school MUST. I learned my lessons.  Please use school therapists recommendations . They know what they say.  I highly recommend  you this school.

We sent our son to PLP from March of 2017 to January of 2018. Our son was struggling in so many ways and there was no way we could deal with all of these challenges in our own home. It was an extremely challenging decision to send our son to Pacific Life yet it was definitely the right decision for our family.

We live in San Diego, so sending our child to Mexico was cost effective and convenient for us. Now that our son has graduated from the program we continue to return to PLP about every 3 months so he can speak with current residents and stay connected to the program. During his time at PLP our son dealt with a number of issues revolving around bullying and self-esteem. Since he returned home he has been much happier, has been 100% clean from drugs, choosing good friends and is focused on being a better person.

We have met many individuals that have graduated, or were pulled out, of PLP and not all of the results are equal. The biggest challenge as a parent is to realize that we are just as much a part of the solution as our child. If we believe that handing our kids off to someone else for a year or so and have them come back and be different, if we're not different, is unrealistic. The work needs to be done by all family members, not just the child who's struggling.

In summary, we would highly suggest that you consider PLP as an option for your child if you are having challenges. They are kind and caring people and they know how to get results, just know that it's a team effort.

They saved my daughter bottom line and got her on the right track.
They do it through therapy and teaching that there actions have consequences.  Its not fancy, but you don't want your child to want to say stay someplace - they have to want to change and come  home.

if your having issues you cant solve alone - I highly recommend them.

The Best Therapeutic Boarding School I could find, I was searching for the best therapeutic boarding school for troubled teens when I got to know about Pacific Life Program. I was really impressed with the facilities. The staff members were really helpful. They have helped transform my boys life. He used to hate school, because of a lack self-esteem. Now he is getting good grades and feeling confident.

Thank you,

I am really impressed with the troubled teen program at Pacific Life. The staff are professional, friendly, and caring. They did everything possible to help my nephew overcome his anger issues, and were really supportive throughout his residency. I appreciate their great work.

Few months back, my nephew started showing some strange behaviors. He was getting angry over little things and becoming aggressive. He then started hanging out with negative friends and getting into trouble with the police. I heard about this therapeutic boarding school and took him after visiting the campus. Although his defiance kept him there almost nine months, he is now able to control his rage and channel it into something productive. Thanks a lot for your help.

PLP provided exactly the therapy that our family needed. It is tough to find a therapist that cares and people that truthfully want the best for you and your child. It has been a hard road but without the help and the tools learned from this program I have no idea how we would be today. I will forever be thankful.

Best decision I've ever made for my 15 year old son! So grateful for this place! All therapist are top-notch!
My son has been there for almost 5 months and I'm letting him stay for 8. It's incredible how he is healing from past issues (low self esteem etc.) and is HAPPY! He has a great mind-set and is becoming a leader! He has developed extremely healthy habits and works out every day! He has gone from failing all his classes to jumping ahead a grade!
It’s hard to find caring and supportive therapists and staff members like the one they have at Pacific Life Program. Right from the first day, the staff showed care and concern for my son. In fact, they created a personalized therapy program for my boy to help him get through his struggle with depression. This really helped him a lot. He now goes about with a bright smile, and is always optimistic about what life has to offer.
